BARRY MARZ TEAMS UP WITH FURIOUS STYLESZ ON “NUPACALYPSE NOW”

Barry Marz teams up with fellow emcee, Furious Stylesz as they bring us one of the HARDEST tracks of the summer,  “NUPACALYPSE NOW.” The track is produced by Barry Marz himself and it’s such a VIBE! The beat gives the track a Westside Gunn-feel, dare I say it also reminds me of Jay Electronica’s “WTF IS A JAY ELECTRONICA.” Barry was inspired by 2Pac’s 2Pacalypse Now album, & Westside Gunn’s songs “Mariota” & “Lunchin”. This is the type of track that gives hip hop heads hope – it seems to me we are at time when rap is becoming more substantial again.

“NUPACALYPSE NOW” isn’t necessarily topic driven but you can absolutely hear both emcees lyrical talent and deliveries, both emcees flex a little on the track by simply doing what they do! Organically. I also shed a tear when I heard this track lol it gives me home that we are coming into a time when boom bap-style rapping and more substantial lyrical rap is returning.
