Hollywould: ‘A Quiet Place 2,’ ‘Shazam!,’ and ‘Rick & Morty’
The film and television business moves at a mile a minute, so keeping up with the latest news can be a little daunting. Not to worry—we have your back. In Hollywould, we’ll round up the industry developments you need to know. Here’s what you may have missed:
A Quiet Place 2
Speaking with The Playlist, John Krasinski revealed he’s toying with the idea of directing the sequel—contrary to prior reports:
“Well, I’m currently writing the script, and it was one of those things where I didn’t think I would write or participate in the sequel, to be honest. I was so proud of the first one, and obviously, we didn’t make it a with the intention that there would be a sequel. That said, I’m a realist, and I try to see things from everybody’s point of view, and I certainly understand why a studio would want to make a second one after the movie’s success. So, here I am now writing it and we’ll see if I ended up directing it.”
Men in Black/21 Jump Street
The once-a-joke, then really happening Men in Black and 21 Jump Street crossover is officially dead according to Men in Black producer, Walter Parkes:
“We gave it a shot. It turned out to be an impossible match-up.”

Kevin Feige told MTV News he has hopes for the future of the X-Men franchise after the Disney/Fox merger:
“It’s not just the marquee names, you know. There are hundreds of names on those documents, on those agreements. The fact that Marvel is now as close as we may ever be to having access to all of the characters is something I’ve been dreaming about for my almost 20 years at Marvel. It’s very exciting.”
Shazam!
SuperBroMovies claims that Shazam! will feature the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man—essentially the Seven Deadly Sins—as antagonists.
Alien
Judging by the official Alien Twitter account, it’s time to get ready for a multimedia event:
