Hollywould: ‘Captain Marvel’, James Bond, ‘The Hunt’
The film and television business moves at a mile a minute, so keeping up with the latest news can be a little daunting. Not to worry—we have your back. In Hollywould, we’ll round up the industry developments you need to know. Here’s what you may have missed:
Captain Marvel
Possible spoilers ahoy. According to Screen Rant, a tie-in book has revealed the identity of Jude Law’s mystery character. In the book, Starforce on the Rise, the character is named Yon-Rogg—who’s actually a foe of Captain Marvel. The name appeared on leaked merchandise before, but the character’s official name so far has just been “Starforce Commander.” Whether this is another Marvel misdirect it is still unknown for now.
Bond 25
Scott Z. Burns has reportedly been hired to “overhaul” the film’s script, written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. The changes are expected to be big enough that Burns will take primary credit for the screenplay.
In other Bond news, the project is slated for release on April 10, 2020.
The Hunt
Amazon released an official synopsis for Jordan Peele’s The Hunt:
“The Hunt follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters living in 1977 New York City. The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the US. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.”
