Hollywould: ‘Voyagers,’ ‘Bond 25,’ and ‘Black Widow’
The film and television business moves at a mile a minute, so keeping up with the latest news can be a little daunting. Not to worry—we have your back. In Hollywould, we’ll round up the industry developments you need to know. Here’s what you may have missed:
Voyagers
According to Deadline, Lionsgate now has the rights to Neil Burger’s “Lord of the Flies in space” project. Colin Farrell, Tye Sheridan, Lily-Rose Depp, Finn Whitehead, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Chanté Adams, Viveik Kalra, Quintessa Swindell, Archie Madekwe, and Archie Renaux will all star in it. The plot concerns “30 young men and women who are sent deep into space on a multi-generational mission in search of a new home. The mission descends into madness, as the crew reverts to its most primal state, not knowing if the real threat they face is what’s outside the ship or who they’re becoming inside it.”
The Dark Crystal
Netflix’s Dark Crystal prequel has announced new cast members, via Deadline: Lena Headey, Awkwafina, and Sigourney Weaver join the already star-studded cast of Taron Egerton, Helena Bonham Carter, Simon Pegg, Andy Samberg, Eddie Izzard, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mark Strong, Alicia Vikander, and many more.
Bond 25

Space Jam 2
The sequel to NBA/Looney Tunes mashup, Space Jam, has entered production— LeBron said so himself:
Man this really just hit me! I’m really shooting Space Jam 2!! This is so surreal and doesn’t even make sense to me! Where I come from man and what I saw growing up this doesn’t add up to me! 🤦🏾♂️! I’m truly grateful and beyond blessed. This is CRAZINESS. 🏀 🐰 🎥 👑🙏🏾

Good Morning, Midnight
According to Variety, George Clooney has signed on to direct and star in an adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton’s novel of the same name. The plot concerns an Arctic astronomer trying to reach an astronaut after the end of the world; Clooney will play the astronaut.
28 Days Later Sequel
Danny Boyle says he’s got an idea for a third 28 Days Later project:
“Alex Garland and I have a wonderful idea for the third part. It’s properly good. The original film led to a bit of a resurgence in the zombie drama and it doesn’t reference any of that. It doesn’t feel stale at all. He’s concentrating on directing his own work at the moment, so it’s stood in abeyance really, but it’s a you-never-know.”
