The Drop – Justice, Lany, & The Chainsmokers
The Drop is us cutting through the massive jungle of new music that’s been released over the last seven days. We sharpen our proverbial machetes and cut through the shit to get you to the content that you need to be listening to.
This is The Drop.

Justice – Woman Worldwide
Remixed and remastered from the live productions of Justice, Woman Worldwide is a compilation of music that has now been perfected in a way that can’t happen when done in a live show. Justice takes us through their music, new and old, in a refreshing way that reminds me of how much I love them. Justice will continue touring the rest of the year, along with festival performances at Austin City Limits and Life Is Beautiful.
LANY – “I Don’t Wanna Love You Anymore”
LANY is releasing one breakup song after another, and I am hoping that means we are getting closer to another album. “I Don’t Wanna Love You Anymore” is another indie pop compilation of guitar riffs and synths with heartfelt lyrics from LANY. This one will get you in all the feels.
The Chainsmokers & NGHTMRE – “Save Yourself” (Pick Of The Week)
Switching gears from heartbreak to headbang, The Chainsmokers and NGHTMRE have teamed up to create an unexpected trap heavy release. “Save Yourself” is a mainstage sensation that I believe will be finding its way into DJ sets everywhere. The Chainsmokers continue to experiment with every type of dance genre, and with the help of NGHTMRE, this new track is an unstoppable force.
Ekali & Yuna – “Leaving”
Ekali creates complete soundscapes whenever he releases music. Whether it is heavy-hitting or absolutely mystifying, the song takes you on a euphoric journey. “Leaving” has emotionally vulnerable lyrics from Yuna, and the future beats from Ekali make it an exciting new release from the DJ.
Blood Orange – “Out Of Your League”
Blood Orange is becoming one of my favorite artists over the last couple of months. His new album, Negro Swan, is compiled with a ton of features, ranging from P. Diddy to A$Ap Rocky, and is becoming one of my favorite new releases. “Out Of Your League” is an upbeat ’80s vibe that is easily my favorite track off of the album.
